Warderick Wells, Exumas     Latitude 24°23.0N - Longitude 76° 37.60W

Having missed the headquarters of the Exuma Land & Sea Park earlier, we chose to anchor and explore the trails here while waiting for the wind to favor a passage east to Eleuthera.  The Park is loaded with opportunities for exploration.  From the scenic Boo Boo Hill where cruisers leave mementos of their visit, to the ruins of a plantation, to the desert-like natural terrain of these coral islands, the easy-to-follow trails have something for everybody.  If the moorings are filled, you can anchor near Emerald Rock, just southwest of the headquarters in soft sand.  A short dinghy ride takes you to many of the trails with beach access.
