Hi all,

I am here at the lovely Governor's Harbor library in Eleuthera. This is a lovely town and I walked to the ruins of the old Club Med here where John and I honeymooned. It was empowering to know what I can do
now, sailing here a new and free woman. Didn't feel any negative pangs of any kind, just thinking how different my life is now and seeing how much life has to offer if you just move on.

Anyway, I miss you all very much and wish you could join me on one of the legs of the trip. The quarters are cramped and there is very little privacy on a boat, but the benefits far outweigh these things.

My screenplay draft is complete and I am now in the, perhaps more difficult, editing process. My friend Becky will be joining me on June 15 and has promised to do the first read for me. I am nervous about
it, but since she is such a good friend, I figure that she will tell me straight up whether it sucks or not.

The time has gone by so quickly. Some days, when I'm writing, go by like a moment. Other days when I'm sailing, go by even quicker! I took a day off yesterday to tour the town. The people are so wonderful
here in the Bahamas. The only place I didn't like was Nassau, and I really don't consider that the Bahamas, although that seems weird since most people would associate it with this place. I find the people on the other islands to be very peaceful, happy, and generally friendly wanting to help you with anything. You can hitchhike freely here. It's the only way to get around. I donated my bike to a marina since
the thing was getting so rusted from riding on the top of the boat. It was difficult to "unstick' it so, I just cleared the deck for more yoga space and walk or hitchhike where I want to go--perfectly safe here.
Still planning on getting back to show the script to the agent in July. Don't have any lans beyond that. I can tell you however, that I truly love living at sea. The community of sailing people is tremendous. They are wonderful , generous people, truly interested in living life to the fullest. If you need help, they are always there. I can talk, even in a first conversation, like I've known them all my life, maybe in a way I have.

anyway, this has been a great experience. Too much to tell in an
email.

This library is the first place I have found affordable rates for internet, so I just wanted to let you know I am thinking abou t you all.

I will be heading northward on Eleuthera, various places then up to the Abacos, hopefully to meet Becky.

Take care, Love
Karen
