Log Fri Dec 19, 2003 7:39:24 PM US/Pacific Having experienced the beauty of the northern Bahamas (Abaco Islands) last year, I plan on sailing to the lower portions of the Bahamas this trip. My route will take me from Fort Lauderdale to Bimini or Cat Island for customs clearance, and then on to the Berry Islands, Nassau (New Providence Island) and onward to the main are of exploration -- the Exumas. The Exumas are a 150 mile long chain of mostly uninhabited islands, east of New Providence Island, extending southward and ending just north of the Turks & Caicos Islands. When I get there, I hope to provide you with some spectacular pictures and stories of exotic locales--so check back in a few weeks and see what it is like to take off sailing!
