Stories & Tales

Not much to tell yet, but stay tuned once I get to sea. All of the glamour of this trip is still ahead of me since the preparation needed, not only for the boat, but to put the business of life "on hold and in order" is staggering.

Money related issues seem always in the forefront. Will I have enough money to do this? Will my investments provide enough income for food, diesel fuel, and other items needed? How much will this really cost? What should I take to eat and how much? What to do with 'stuff" like car, possessions (of what little is left, ha) etc. also takes some preparation, and cooperation of family and friends.

Thanks to you all for your wonderful help in so many of these things!

Most of all, I feel the need to see all of you, my friends and family. That need lead to the trip I made in September, kind of my "Farewell" tour, that now seems like so long ago. But finally, yes finally, all calamities, personal and family ills, obstacles, and troubles are just about behind me, I can already feel the wind on my face, and I am ready to go

. I wish I could take you all with me (okay, not all of you) but my thoughts will be with you and hopefully, you will check back to see what the ole Captain Shepirate is up to. Stay tuned, the trip across the Gulf Stream, and entering the shallow Bahama Banks is coming up...

Fair winds to you all until next time!
