Here's the TRUE STORY OF TODAY!
We had an exciting time here at the Nassau Harbor Club this morning. I was walking back from the grocery shopping when the bank right next to me was in the process of an armed robbery. The shootout lasted a couple minutes and the robbers ran away and escaped down toward the marina. Guess who's boat they ran on? Yup, swear to god, it was Dreamer. Thank god I asked Ron to lock it just before we left, or they would have gotten inside. As it was, one of the robbers was apprehended on the boat. Since he was wounded in the shootout with police, there was blood on the dinghy (guess he tried to hide in there) blood on the docklines, and on the edge of the boat. We were going to check out and leave today for Rose Island, but needless to say we were delayed. We will be anchoring out in the Harbor tonight before leaving in the morning (rather than staying at the dock). And people say being at sea is dangerous! As the wind is moving to the Northwest-West, we will likely go to Eleuthera tomorrow.
Love,
Karen
